Garrett McNamara surfed a monstrous 90ft rogue wave near the Nazaré Canyon in Portugal. The previous world record holder for surfing the largest wave is Pete Cabrinha who surfed a 70ft wave at Jaws in Maui in 2004.

A couple of months before Garrett went out to Portugal, we were hanging out at the NYC SeaPaddle. His mission has always been to catch the biggest and best waves mother nature can produce. He told me that this was going to happen.

Congrats Garrett! You are an inspiration.
